Professional Development Grants and Reimbursements

  • Full-Time MBA Student Career Related Travel Grants and Reimbursements
    • ​If a full time MBA student participates in a formal recruiting event (e.g. career conference, job fair, alumni networking reception, company visit, etc.) that has been pre-approved by the MBA Program Office, that student may request reimbursement of expenses not exceeding $200 per student in a given academic year which runs September through April. This funding is only available to Full Time MBA students who have paid their Professional Development fees for the given academic year.

​​​Career Conference and Career Fairs (National Black, NSHMBA, MBA Woman International, Reaching Out MBA)  
$200 Travel Grants will be posted on your student account after return from conference.
    • ​​​​​​Career Events that REQUIRE Pre-Approval
​​Job Interviews, Alumni Networking Receptions, Company Visits Etc.

For events that require pre-approval, please email Michael Chott (mchott@katz.pitt.edu) with your request and description of event 14 days prior to the event. An approval/disapproval email will be sent to you within 2-5 business days.

Student Financial Aid Information

  • Federal Stafford Loan - U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to receive up to $20,500 per year in a direct unsubsidized loan
  • Grad PLUS Loan - Provides additional funds beyond the Stafford.
